Welcome to Briefly Science!
Hi! I'm Claudia Brady, a British college student with an insatiable passion for all things STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The world of scientific research is vast, intricate, and filled with exciting discoveries.
Yet, often, these groundbreaking studies are wrapped in layers of technical jargon that can be challenging for many to unpack.
My Mission
With Briefly Science, my goal is to bridge this gap.
Utilising the powers of AI summarisation techniques, I take technical research paper abstracts from the Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Medicine disciplines and translate them into language that is accessible, engaging, and informative for me and my peers.
Imagine having the latest science news, discoveries, and innovations delivered to your inbox, distilled to their essence and explained in a language you can relate to. That's Briefly Science.
My Process
Every month, I scour social media platforms to identify the most shared and discussed research papers. I group the top 8-15 papers, then write a post on the 1st of every month, summarising these papers in a comprehensible manner.
This not only keeps you updated with the latest scientific advances but also empowers you with the knowledge to discuss them.
A Note on Integrity
It's essential to emphasise my commitment to ethical practices.
The AI tools I use at Briefly Science are exclusively for the purpose of demystifying complex scientific language.
They are not and will never be used to cheat on academic assignments or for any unethical means.
My passion is simply to spread knowledge and foster a community of enthusiastic learners.
Empowering Future Scholars
It is my earnest hope that Briefly Science can become a beacon for students on their academic journey.
While I strive to make complex scientific topics more approachable, my underlying aspiration is that my peers might also find these summaries a useful resource to reference when crafting their own personal statements for universities.
By providing clearer insights into the world of science, I aim to offer students a foundation to build upon, formulate opinions, and express their passion for STEM subjects.
I hope Briefly Science will help young minds to get inspired and to delve deeper into these subjects, championing innovation and progress for the generations to come.
Join the Journey
As I embark on this exciting venture, aiming to simplify and democratise access to scientific knowledge, I invite you to join my small but growing community.
Whether you're a student like me, looking to strengthen your grasp on STEM subjects, or simply a curious soul, Briefly Science has something for everyone.
Thank you for being a part of this journey, and here's to making science more accessible, one paper at a time!
Warmly,
Claudia Brady
